Challenge description with context - Nickel nitrate is valuable product which is to be made in crystal form and it is a challenge to make crystal from precipitation form.
Problem - By using freeze crystallization we can recover Ni (NO3)2 from concentrate of evaporator economically but we can recover it in hydrated precipitate form we need it in crystal form which rejects impurity.
Users – Battery, metal plating petroleum refining treatment accelerate the burning of combustible material
Expected Outcomes - We can try various methodologies in at freeze crystallisation stage itself to get result. If it becomes successful, we can use freeze crystallisation instead of evaporator and as we all know that latent heat of vaporization is 6 to 7 times more than latent heat of fusion so we can save 6 to 7 times energy which is being used in evaporator.
