Supervision received Head - ME Supervision exercised Upto Manager - TR (Tool design, CAM, MDI, TMG, SKPO, Systems) Job Essential functions 7.1.0 Toolroom manufacturing / Planning, Control and Delivery 7.1.1 To initiate along with planning engineer monthly toolroom plan based on plants input (What to produce) and accordingly prepare implementation/ execution plan for delivery to plants. (How to produce) (Monthly) 7.1.2 Monitoring and supervising the toolroom manufacturing activities to achieve the production target as per toolroom plan that is % of fill rate of dies achieved. Also monitoring of SDQCPM. (Daily) 7.1.3 Analyse - Trend analysis, Variance analysis, Cause & effect analysis, to facilitate solution for problem related to toolroom target achievement.(Weekly & Quarterly) 7.1.4 Implementing new concepts in tool manufacturing. 7.2.0 New product development 7.2.1 Support to project team in project feasibility study, estimate process cycle time ,prepare quote &tool development . 7.3.0 Tool design & MDI 7.3.1 Maintaining quality of Quality & delivery in tool design. 7.3.2 Implementing new die design concepts for improvement in yield, cycle time, quality and greater die life. 7.4.0 Maintenance & Systems Monitoring 7.4.1 Ensure timely maintenance of all machineries of Toolroom department along with Maintenance team. 7.4.2 Provide support for maintenance of hardware and software's related to CAD/CAM. 7.5.0 Man management 7.5.1 Support, guidance to toolroom engineers / Line owners in problems related to manpower / workmen etc. 7.5.2 Monitoring discipline management in shop floor in terms of attendance, absenteeism. 7.5.3 Man power planning for labour deployment overall at the plant level.(Monthly) 7.5.4 Interface with HR team for recruitment, induction, discipline management, contract labour deployment. 7.5.5 Impart skill development training for engineers/workers along with HR team. 7.5.6 Monitor workers education, welfare & development programs. 7.6.0 Safety, Environment management & house keeping 7.6.1 Monitor effective implementation of safety policy and 5S through toolroom engineers at the plant level. 7.6.2 Monitor timely closure of NCR's indicated by audits. 7.6.3 Monitor external audits - time and quality aspects. 7.6.4 Monitor compliance with all statutory requirement along with HR team. 7.7.0 Process Improvement 7.7.1 Monitor implementation of KAIZEN initiatives at factory/unit level involving all workmen/supervisors in shop floor and non-shop areas including sustenance and further improvements. 7.7.2 Facilitate improvement programs through SKPO as per Policy deployment commitments. 7.7.3 Attending KAIZEN events. 7.7.4 Monitor depth of penetration of KAIZEN into all people in the concerned plant. 7.7.5 Monitor correction and prevention of any deviation in the tool manufacturing process. 7.8.0 Quality programmes 7.8.1 Monitor timely calibration of instruments for quality inspection. 7.8.2 Monitor documentation of various processes. 7.9.0 Customer Interface & Projects 7.9.1 To interact, communicate and co-ordinate with Internal customers(Projects, Engg.& operations ) for matters related tooling quality , tooling upgrade & modifications. 7.10.0 Management meeting & reviews 7.10.1 Conducting review meeting with his staff/Engineers. 7.10.2 Periodical analysis with data (at least once in a week) for cost optimisation for productivity improvement, optimising inventory level(WIP, RM, Spares etc), Man power numbers/OT hours, Percentage waste/Defects etc. for facilitating improvement plan in the 7.10.3 Attending quarterly business planning and review meeting 7.11 Audits 7.11.1 Periodical audits for safety, Quality, Process/Cell/Line 7.11.0 Environment Health & Safety 7.11.1 Ensuring that the Integrated Management Policy (EHS Policy) and objectives commitments are met by all the department personnel 7.11.2 Reporting on the departmental EHS performance in the Management Review 7.11.3 Ensuring proper maintenance of EHS documentation and document control procedure 7.11.4 Monitoring data/information related to resources consumed and pollutants generated by the department 7.11.5 Conserving resources like water & electricity 7.11.6 Conducting IEHSR, Aspect-Impact studies and HIRA for all activities. 7.11.7 Establishing control over significant aspects and hazards with Management Program or OCP as appropriate 7.11.8 Communicate the significant environmental aspects and associated impacts/ Safety & Occupational Health hazards and risks and operational controls and consequence of deviating from the norms to the personnel of the department 7.11.9 Monitoring and evaluation of legal and other requirements 7.11.10 Ensuring that Management Programmes are implemented as per the action plan 7.11.11 Ensuring all WI/Operation Control procedures including use of PPEs are being effectively practiced by the department 7.11.12 Measuring & Monitoring key environmental and safety characteristics 7.11.13 Ensuring safe and clean and occupational safe working environment in working area. 7.11.14 Maintain records pertaining to Management Programmes and OCPs 7.11.15 Ensuring Corrective, preventive actions are taken against Non conforming situations 7.11.16 Doing competence and training needs assessment on EHS requirements 7.11.17 Compliance with applicable safety, occupational Health & environmental regulations pertaining to the department 7.11.18 Involving external interested parties such as subcontractors, vendors etc in EHS Dealing with concerns received from employees & outside public etc relating to OHSE. 7.11.19 Ensuring medical examination of the employees working in hazard areas as applicable 7.11.20 Ensuring that all activities are carried out with due regards for OHSE. 7.11.21 Any other requirement as per the ISO14001:2004, OHSAS18001: 2007. 7.11.22 All Roles & Responsibilities as defined in EHS Manual EHSLR, EAI & RA Log, EHSMP, OCPs, OSEP and other EHS documentation 7.12 Accountabilities 7.12.1 Reportable/Non Reportable accidents. 7.12.2 Effective use of PPEs 7.12.3 Achieving EHS Objective and Targets as per PPMS. 7.12.4 Implementation for Management programs 7.12.5 Effective use and monitoring of pollution control equipments 7.12.6 Timely review of the AI and HIRA Knowledge required 8.1 IT skill exp. Exposure to man management/supervision Experience Required Additional Lean manufacturing, Six sigma, KAIZEN Should be able to drive the kaizen events for improvements.
